Wheel Alignments at Our Kearny Mesa Shop
Four-Wheel or Front Alignment
Most modern vehicles want a true four-wheel alignment. We set what your vehicle needs, not a flat fee for everyone.

Inspect Suspension First
No point aligning a car with a worn tie rod or ball joint — we check the suspension before pulling it on the rack.

If you need new tires or suspension work first, we tell you. We are not interested in selling an alignment that will not hold.

Signs you need an alignment
Steering wheel sits crooked when you are driving straight. Car pulls left or right on a flat road. Tires wearing more on the inside or outside edge than the middle. Feathered or scalloped tire wear. New tires already wearing wrong. Anything after hitting a serious pothole or curb. Any of those, get it on the rack.
Why this is a shop service
Alignments need an alignment rack and laser or camera-based sensors. There is no portable version of that equipment that gets accurate results on a driveway. This is one of the core reasons our Kearny Mesa shop exists alongside the mobile side. See the full breakdown of what fits each side at mobile vs shop.
Suspension comes first
An alignment will not hold if you have a worn tie rod end, a torn control-arm bushing, or a sloppy ball joint. We do a quick suspension check before putting any vehicle on the rack, and we tell you if something needs to be addressed first. We would rather lose the alignment sale than do work that will be off again in 2,000 miles. If you have a related noise or wear issue, see our mobile suspension and steering service first.

Wheel Alignments Questions
The most common questions we hear about wheel alignments in San Diego.
How much does a wheel alignment cost in San Diego?
Pricing depends on whether you need front-only or four-wheel, and whether anything has to come apart to do it. We quote the alignment up front and only add to it if we find a stuck adjuster or worn part that needs to come out first.
How long does an alignment take?
A clean alignment on a vehicle in good shape is about 60 to 90 minutes on the rack. If we have to free up stuck cam bolts or replace a tie rod end first, add time for that.
How often do I need an alignment?
Any time you put on new tires, replace suspension parts, hit a hard curb or pothole, or notice pulling or uneven wear. Most daily drivers benefit from a check once a year.
Will an alignment fix steering wheel off-center?
Yes, that is exactly what a proper alignment fixes — assuming nothing in the steering or suspension is bent. We confirm that part before pulling it on the rack.
Why do I need to align all four wheels?
Most modern cars have adjustable rear toe. If the rear is off, the front fights it and your tires wear funny. A true four-wheel alignment uses the rear as the reference to set the front straight.
